Day at the Museum - Better than the Movie!

Our last day in Anchorage, we did something very strange.  We went to the museum!  The Anchorage Museum to be exact.

On our way there we did come across some wild, ferocious animals...

And we were summoned by a great force to enter this fruit stand and tap on these tablets...

We finally freed ourselves and journeyed on the the museum.
There we studied Alaskan art.

Looking at art in the fetal position is how all the greats do it!

I just wanted to take this otter home!

We learned about how long ago Alaskans dried salmon to make some tasty salmon jerky!

Must be good even the eagles like it.

We explored...

She might look small but that girl and pull herself up fast!

Those are some HOT kiddos!

We did get trapped in bubble world for what seemed like hours!

We lunched at a fancy restaurant.  We used our best table manners, had a cute waiter and ate some amazing food.  But what impressed us most - the black toilets in the bathroom.  Now that is the sign of a truly fancy restaurant!

There was just one last thing that we had to see in Anchorage.

This is the Anchorage Alaska Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It is a smaller temple, but still such a beautiful place.  Standing on these holy grounds was the perfect reminder that all of this is a gift.  A gift we are so grateful for!  The grounds were beautiful, and I had to take some flower shots for Emma.

Betsy found this perfect toadstool.

We are leaving Anchorage tomorrow morning to head by train to our next adventure!
