Play A Little, Explore A Little

We started day with an amazing breakfast at the Roadhouse in Talkeetna.

Who knew Rudolf was so tasty?

Then - we got to spend a little time in one of the best playground we have ever seen.
It was built by residence of the town of Talkeenta for the kids.  The love put into it really shows.

We rode the orcas!

Got eaten by a bear!

Flew a plane!
Slid down a raven's tongue!

Took a ride in the Mystery Machine!
And climbed Mt McKinley!
All this on one playground!

It was to the train for a 4 hour trip to Denali. We saw some beautiful scenery and a couple of moose!

Yes - those three little specs are moose - not mice!
This could be one of my favorite photos of this trip.  It is just so Alaska!

Once we arrived in Denali - we were whisked away to the McKinley Village Lodge.  A beautiful lodge along the river.

This is the view from our room.
Did you say water??  We must go explore and probably get wet!

After exploring - we decided end our day with a rousing  game of checkers!  I think these two are becoming Alaskans...

A special note for Betsy's parents - "You might not let me have a real husky puppy, but I can still fill our house up with huskies!"
