Copenhagen We Have Arrived

We got up the next morning, and hit the train bound for Copenhagen.

We took a canal boat tour to see sights.
I think we saw this street in Legoland!

I knew we were north, but I didn't realize we were that north!

This is the back of the Little Mermaid - I can't show you the front because this is a G-rated blog!

This cathedral tower has only 400 steps to the top.

This is the famous walking/shopping street in Copenhagen.

We stopped by the Post and Tele Museum so Zac could man the boat through the iceberg.  Once again we must by more north then I thought.

Then we went to Rosenborg Castle to see the crown jewels.  Wow - these danish monarch's have good taste in jewels!

Zac was more interested in the guard posts.

This was on the ceiling of the castle - I have got to get ride of my popcorn ceilings and do this...

Then we walked to see the famous Christus statue.  Yes - the original is in Denmark and was done by Bertel Thorvaldsen.  He also did statues of the twelve apostles which line the perimeter of the church.

Of course after that it was Ice Cream Break Time!

This guy just made me giggle - who would have someone so dirty advertising for tattooing and piercing...

A little bit of home
and we loved the sentiment
We are "lovin" Copenhagen!
