The day started with an amazing breakfast - Frank cooked, the wonderful farm provided the ingredients, and the kids did the dishes. This must be what a vacation feels like!
Since Zac ear was still hurting we decided that finding a doctor would be a good idea...
Big Thanks to the US Embassy for finding us Dr. Drekonja! She was wonderful and spoke English. Zac's favorite part of the visit was when she called nostrils - 'nose holes'! He is still giggling.
View from the Dr office. Makes going to the doctors almost enjoyable.
At this point, we have seen the inside of an Austrian doctor's office and a Austrian apothecary (a pharmacy). Of course, our next stop had to be a local ice cream shop. One of our family mottos is
Ice cream fixes everything...
Yes - they did serve the ice cream on a silver platter. This ice cream was amazing!!!
This is Max's look when I asked for a taste... Guess we aren't sharing...
We then walked a few blocks and came across some wonderful sights...
This is Marabell Gardens. It is beautiful and was featured in the Sound of Music. Go ahead - get your copy out and see if you can find it...
Look an Austrian bee at work.
The Salzach River
Hohensalzburg Fortress looks over the city which bares its name.
On our way back to the car, we stumbled upon the Mozart Residence. Mozart moved here when he was 17. Can you imagine the music that was written in this home!
We were happy that the visit from the police was to someone else!!
Not really up to visiting the inside of a Austrian police station...
