Because of our change to Plan B, we had to cut out a trip to Aarhus. We are sad to not be able to visit Aunt Birgit's home, but we will see her next week at the rental house. Luckily, Karen and Ova put up with us a little while longer. Big thanks to them and Primo! We decided to head to the Viking Center.
It is a wonderful living museum outside of Ribe.
Of course when we arrived it began to rain - Not light showers it was a down pours.
We still manage to see some of the amazing buildings. And we got some fascinating lessons about the Viking culture and history.
Lunch was being made when we got there.
A Viking Loom.
The carvings were simple and beautiful.
Totally cleaner than my house!
This baby cradle hung in the court area. So, the baby slept while laws were being made! Same thing happened at my house when my kids were babies.
Love this hat rack!
The boys made some Viking bread - they tasted like pancakes!
I do think it was a little disappointing to Zac that Vikings did normal things and in many ways lived simple lives.
The kids wanted to go on this great playground and obstical course the museum had - so despite the rain they ventured to the playground. And since they are all three so bright they all went down the slide!
This is what they looked like after...
We then headed for the Sorensen's in Grindsted. We arrived to a fantastic warm meal and great company. We are so thankful for their hospitality. What a fun and talented family!

Nice bum shot! They must be homeschooled. =)
