We spent about 7 hours driving on Friday. We drove from Venice, Italy to Stuttgart, Germany. We were able to see the beautiful Italian countryside.
There are castles and fortresses all along the way. So many of them are still used today for a variety of things. Some are museums, others hotels, and even still others have been transformed into homes.
The Alps were just coming into view
This tram went right over the road and continued up the mountain. The boys reaction was - COOL!
As soon as we got into Germany it was all about speed. Even though he wasn't driving an Audi or Mercedes or BMW like everyone else, Frank still managed a to show us some real Autobahn speed!
This is pretty much what I saw...
We did stop outside of Munich to pick up a bigger van. The kids have more room and were much more comfortable. Once again not the Audi Frank was hoping for!
We made it to the hotel in Stuttgart in the evening for rest.
